The Festival

For the 15th year, the Celtic culture took over an outdoor park for a weekend as part of the Austin Celtic Festival. Billed as “the largest gathering of Celts in central Texas”, the festival was held at Fiesta Gardens by Lady Bird Lake on Nov. 5 and 6. For two days, Celts gathered to celebrate the Celtic culture and their heritage with the opportunity to partake in the Scottish Highland Games or reenactments of the history and stories behind the Celtic culture and traditions.  The festival also featured four different stages with musicians performing a wide array of Celtic music throughout both days, as well as two beer booths to keep festival-goers hydrated with only the finest Celtic brews.
