The Celts-perts

Jordan Yeh is a photojournalism student at UT with a background in business foundations. He enjoys writing, taking photographs and dealing with multimedia elements like Photoshop and video editing software. A devout musician who plays the guitar, piano and the drum set, Jordan hopes to one day incorporate his passion of music into playing and recording music professionally. If this fails to happen, he would like to pursue a career in fashion photography and run a Houston-based business. Jordan, an inspired athlete that participates in events such as the LIVESTRONG Ride to Fight Cancer and Warrior Dash every year, likes to test his limits and live life on the edge.

Amyna Dosani is a magazine journalism and Plan II Honors junior at the University of Texas at Austin. She also has concentrations in Spanish and Latin American Media Studies. While feature writing is her passion, her goal is to do it all. Currently, she is a copy editor at The Daily Texan, a writer for Her Campus Texas, a contributor for a biannual publication called The Ismaili Magazine and an avid, film-tastic member (and hopefully associate producer!) of Texas Student TV’s Austin Underground crew. Her love for global cultures and basic familiarity with Celtic music attracted her to this topic. In her free time, Amyna enjoys pretending she actually has free time by baking delicious treats, flamenco dancing and succumbing to the fate of coffee shop hipster.

Lauren Jette is a 3rd year news print journalism major at UT. Her love for newspapers developed from her mother’s habit of leaving the paper scattered across the dining table every morning before school. Lauren got the reporting bug after freelancing for her hometown newspaper, The River Cities Tribune, for two summers before starting at UT. Lauren currently covers men’s tennis for The Daily Texan and hopes to become a sports reporter for a big city newspaper one day. When not chasing down breaking news, Lauren is also a member of the Longhorn Band and is the shortest cymbal player on the field at halftime in DKR.
